on the use of the word ‘talent’ in reference to people. it occurs to me its a distinctly American phenomenon which, as usual, tries to pin the agency to an individual and move the whole somewhat happily intangible true location of the agency closer to money, which again is typically American. evisceration of communal aspects of existence begins with the language, proceeds with the removal of benches on sidewalks, then the removal of the same said sidewalks and on n on. in this regard this culture is effectively subject to ‘socrealism’ that covered up for murder in the old Soviet Union
